Shiny, Happy Affirmations!

We all need a little confidence boost from time to time, and a daily ‘Affirmation’ is a speedy way of bringing those positive vibes into your life. I go through phases of carrying excess negative baggage with me, and I’m as guilty as anyone of running myself into the ground. For example, how many of us have used the phrase, ’oh my hair doesn’t look right today’ or ‘this dress doesn’t suit me’, and before we know it, these seemingly insignificant thoughts have become part of our daily mantra!

A while ago, I was particularly critical of myself to the point where I was becoming my own panel of judges in some kind of warped X Factor scenario - I was my very own Simon Cowell!! I decided that this way of thinking needed to stop, and I had to become more nurturing of myself and affirm the great things I had to offer.

So ladies, if you feel you are being rather critical of yourself, try bringing some daily affirmations into your life. An affirmation is a positive and encouraging statement to reaffirm the fabulous ‘you’. Try repeating the affirmation three times, and remember to say it with confidence and with positive intent.

Always keep your affirmations in the present tense, so your affirmation might go something like, ‘I am a kind and caring person’ or ‘I rock!’, of course it may seem a little bizarre at first, but imagine how you will feel once you replace those negative thoughts with positive ones. Our subconscious picks up on everything we think about ourselves, and if you are feeling and putting out into the world all the positive good stuff, then that will ultimately become your reality.

Affirmations are a great way to start the day, so before you leave your home in the morning, repeat either aloud or in your mind your affirmation for the day. It can be whatever you want it to be, just as long as it feels uplifting and authentic to you. Mix it up as often as you want so the affirmation doesn’t feel stale.

So for all you lovely ladies out there, keep affirming your own fabulousness with powerful and positive statements. I will be saying mine tomorrow at around 8am! Lots of love, Stephanie xx

Angel Feathers

Angel FeathersYour angels are communicating with you all the time, and all you have to do is look for the signs. The angels all operate at a higher frequency than us, which is why we can’t always see or hear them. It would be oh so easy if our angel appeared on the sofa next to us and started chatting away, but the angels have to be highly inventive and come up with other ways in which to contact us, and sometimes, they even choose to communicate with their feathers!

You may be in your home, or perhaps out and about, and you suddenly come across the most perfect little white feather. It may have seemingly come out of nowhere and yet, it is right there in front of you, asking to be picked up. If you happen upon an angel feather do pick it up, and thank your angel for dropping by. Angel feathers are incredibly special, and a sign of encouragement and love. You will feel a very special connection to your angel feather. It’s a nice idea to place the feather in a special location in your home, or somewhere where you can always see it and feel inspired.

I mentioned in a previous post that angels can’t communicate in the same way as our friends do, so we have to become more aware when our angels are making that special connection with us.

The angels love it when we connect with them, and it all begins with a simple ‘hello’

Your trusty psychic bubble!

Your trusty psychic bubbleHave you ever had one of those days when you feel completely drained of energy? It might take you an extra ten minutes to get out of bed in the morning, and all you want to do is rest on the sofa with your blanket and the Twilight DVDs! Last week, I had a major attack of the ‘energy drain’, as I like to call it, which was brought on by a morning spent with some very negative people. I eventually left feeling tired, anxious and not in the best of moods! Thankfully, it was a blue sky day so just walking in nature helped blow away some of those negative cobwebs that had started to build up in my energy field or aura.

When we have an argument with someone, or a person is being a bit difficult, our aura (the energy field around us) picks up on this negativity which can leave us feeling sad and a tad irritable. We want our auras to be big, bouncy and full of health, and we can do this by ensuring we are protecting our energy every day. On the day of the ‘energy drain’ I hadn’t protected myself, so it was a lesson for me to always keep my aura safe.

I want to pass on my advice for you lovely ladies out there who have beautiful energies, and how you can protect them.

Before you leave your home in the morning, carry out these quick and easy steps:

  1. Close your eyes and imagine a beautiful bubble enveloping your entire being in its sparkling light. You may want to imagine the bubble transparent, or perhaps with beautiful healing colours such as blues and greens. Whichever bubble image suits you is great. I sometimes imagine a splash of purple in my bubble for an added spiritual boost!
  2. See the bubble form over your head and beneath your feet, and allow it to expand as big as your imagination takes you, so you are standing in your very own protective safe haven.
  3. Envisage your day ahead and how at every moment, you will have your bubble protecting your aura, so no negative vibes can get to you.

One last thing…always try and surround yourself with positive and encouraging people, who reaffirm the fabulous person you are! And if you happen to be around those negative energy zappers, remember to visualise yourself within your beautiful bubble of light.

I hope this page will always be a place of positivity and encouragement for you. Lots of love, Stephanie xx

Operator…put me through to my Guardian Angel!

Operator...put me through to my Guardian Angel!

Wouldn’t it be great if we only had to dial 0800 * angelic chat, to be instantly connected to our Guardian Angel? It might interest the ethereal-savvy ladies out there that it’s a lot easier to get in touch with your angel than you may think – no need for operator assistance!

Simply follow these introductory steps to getting in touch with your Guardian Angel:

1. Find a place in your home where you can relax without being disturbed.

2. Make the connection very simply, by introducing yourself with a simple ’Hello’ as you would with a friend. There is no kind of angel speak involved or any fancy words you need to use - simply communicate in the way that feels real to you.

3. Once you have made the connection, start to become aware of the change in atmosphere around you, and look out for any signs that your angel is saying ‘hello’ back.

The ways our angels connect with us:

1. Scent – You might receive a sudden burst of scent, such as perfume or freshly picked flowers.

2. Touch – You may feel a light, tickling sensation on your face, arms or hands.

3. Feathers – Angels often leave little white feathers to let you know they have been in touch!

Of course, if your angel happens to appear to you in a burst of bright light, bingo! But seriously, angels communicate in very subtle ways, so start to become more aware when you feel they have made that special connection with you.

The line of communication with our angelic guides is not as clear as a telephone conversation between friends, but as soon as you make angel chat a bigger part of your daily routine, the stronger your connection will become.

For more information on angels, check out my new book ‘How to be a Spiritual Goddess’ out 5th May – very exciting! xx

Crystals for Spring

Crystals for Spring

Finding the perfect crystal is a bit like trying to find that perfect outfit! When you find the one you’ve been looking for, it’s like you were meant to find it. I think that every girl should have a crystal wardrobe too – one for every type of mood and occasion! I like to bespoke my crystals to the seasons too, and spring is the time when I’m looking to clear always all those winter cobwebs, and begin with a fresh start.

For my spring ‘crystal’ wardrobe, these two little beauties help galvanise my energy for the coming months:

Citrine – The daffodil yellow of the Citrine instantly puts me in a better frame of mind, and I feel a wave of sunlight as I hold this little gem in my hand. Citrine is a very positive crystal, and one that is not only aesthetically pleasing for spring, but also emanates all those lovely spring-filled vibes. It is an ideal crystal to wear as jewellery, but I also like it next to me as I type away.

Clear Quartz – The ultimate go-to crystal has to be the Clear Quartz. It is amazing for looking after our emotional well-being, and a great balancer for our energetic engine, otherwise known as the chakras. When we feel clear-headed, and emotionally calm, we can tackle anything that life brings us, so step into spring with this perfect little gem.
